Manufacturing of Special Machines
Bimatic was established in 1966, when a department for the design and construction of equipment and automation required for production was created within a company that manufactured components for household appliances, based on an idea of its founder.
In 1993 Bimatic became part of the companies that in 2011 went on to create Cebi International S.A.
Bimatic today
Bimatic is based in Collegno (Turin), within easy reach from the Corso Marche ring road exit.
The plant has a covered area of approximately 2,200 m2, 600 m2 of which devoted to office space.
Bimatic currently employs 20 people, half of which are technicians who work on designing the machines.
Robotics
In the early 1990s, Bimatic was the first in its industry to start using robots in its applications. They were Scara robots with a low loading capacity, suitable for the type of applications developed.
Over the years, articulated robots were added as well, again with a low loading capacity. Then came the integration with vision systems.
Bimatic now applies about 40-50 robots every year.
Flexibility
Bimatic offers its customers the best solution, from the small manual assembly/testing bench to the fully automatic 40 m line.
When developing the solution, we consider the country of destination and therefore the possible low or high cost of labour, as well as the training of available personnel.
